At that time in his hermitage Ubamanyu felt hungry and cried for the milk. Pleased Goddess Lakshmi Devi asked Parantahaman to come with milk to feed the child Ubamanyu. Instead of bringing little milk, the Almighty brought the entir Milky Ocean itself here to Thiruvanpurusothamam Divyadesam to feed milk to Ubamanyu. Hence temple theertham is being worshipped as Thiruparkadal. 

According to Periyavachan Pillai, there are three types of Human Beings, Adhaman, Madhiman and Utthaman. Adhaman is a one who never cares for others but only about him. Second one is Madhiman who cares for others too and the Third one is Utthaman who even suffer himself for doing good things to all others.
